On September 25, 2017, the City Council passed an ordinance that restricts areas of residency in the City of Inver Grove Heights from Level III sexual predatory offenders. The ordinance makes it unlawful for any designated predatory offender to establish a permanent or temporary residence on a parcel where any portion of the parcel lies within one thousand feet (1,000') of any school, learning center, licensed childcare facility, religious facility, public park, or library.
