IGH Parks & Rec and our partner organizations offer a variety of sports programs and leagues for all ages and abilities throughout the year. Children learn the fundamentals while having fun. And every participant gets time to play!

Sports and ProgramsWinter 2023
Spring 2023
Pre Swim Team: (ages 8-14) – Rule the pool, strengthen your swimming skills and learn new techniques in our pre-swim team practice. Lifeguard Training: (ages 15+) – Become certified in American Red Cross Lifeguarding for pools and water parks, and First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Lifeguard. Basic First Aid & CPR: (ages 13+) – Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a digital certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years. Volunteer Coaches
We need volunteers to serve as coaches and assistant coaches for our leagues. No experience necessary! Our staff will conduct training for all volunteers to get you comfortable and ready to coach. Call 651-450-2585 if you are interested in coaching!
Youth Scholarships are Available!
Thank you for your interest in the City of Inver Grove Heights Parks and Recreation Department programs! We strive to give every IGH kid a chance to participate in our programs. Program assistance funds are available to Inver Grove Heights residents that have a financial need. This scholarship program provides the opportunity for residents to participate in recreation programs at a portion of the fee. Eligibility is determined by completing an application.
Qualifications:
- Must be a resident of the City of Inver Grove Heights.
- Must be 18 years of age or younger.
- Qualifies for the free or reduced School Lunch Program.
- Explained need
