Join us for Fab-BOO-Lous Halloween Events this October


NEW: Virtual Dog Costume Contest - October 12–November 2 Free Register Online FA-F113

We invite you to enter the Virtual Dog Costume Contest. We want to see your dog in his/her most paw-riffic costume! The contest is FREE to join, but please consider a $10 donation to the Humane Society. All submissions must be turned in by November 6 to be eligible for a prize. Judges will be three of your favorite IGH Parks and Recreation Staff. All submitted photos will be posted on our Facebook page. Be sure to register early to secure your spot. Follow our Facebook page @IGHParks for additional details or contact Rachel Mikel at rmikel@inverqroveheiqhts.org. This is a community-based program open to all individuals.

Ghostly Gathering - Family Costume Contest - Friday, October 23 Ages 2–12 

Session 1: 4:30–5:30 p.m. Code: FA-F100 

Session 2: 5:40–6:40 p.m. Code: FA-F114

Calling all ghosts and goblins! Join us for our NEW Ghostly Gathering at Rich Valley Park! This family-friendly barely scary event includes socially distanced trick-or-treating from local businesses, games, scavenger hunt and a chance to enter our FAMILY COSTUME CONTESTDon’t forget to come dressed in your fab-BOO-lous costume! *Pre-registration is REQUIRED! If you are interested in participating as a vendor, please reach out to rmikel@inverqroveheiqhts.org.

Fee: $8 per child (limit two adults per one registered child)

Location: Rich Valley Park, 1841 105th Street East, Inver Grove Heights

Register by Friday, October 16. *Due to COVID-19, we are not accepting on-site registration

Virtual Pumpkin Carving Contest- SUBMISSION DEADLINE: October 16

TO ENTER: Email your carved pumpkin photo, name, phone number and age to rmikel@invergroveheights.orgby October 16. Winners for each age group: ages 5-8 and 9-12. The IGH Parks and Recreation staff will choose two lucky winners in each age group. Winners get to display their pumpkin at the GHOSTLY GATHERING event on Friday,  October 23 and receive  a frightfully fun prize!

Scary Skate - Saturday, October 24 6:30–8 p.m. VMCC, West Rink Free/member; $4/non-member
