2025 IGH Pavement Management Initiative - Barbara Avenue & 46th Street Area 

Construction Update

46th Street Closure (10/01–10/03)

46th Street will be temporarily closed from Bacon Avenue to just past August Way as road crews perform a deep subcut and utility crews install new storm sewer. Once the storm pipe is placed and the road base rebuilt, the roadway may reopen to one lane of traffic. Please plan ahead for delays and detours during this work.

Concrete Curb Installation (10/01–10/03)

Curb installation is scheduled for October 1–3 along Bacon Avenue, Upper 45th Street, 46th Street, and the north half of Barbara Avenue. Access is expected to be restored on Monday, October 6.

Residents affected by curb work should have received a notice. If you need to use your vehicle during construction hours, please park on a section of roadway that has already been paved or outside the active construction area. After construction hours (Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and Saturday 7:00 AM–5:00 PM), you may park in front of your home next to newly poured curb.
