2025 IGH Pavement Management Initiative - Barbara Avenue & 46th Street Area
Construction Update
This Week: (08/25-08/29)
Utility crews will continued sanitary and watermain installation along Bacon Avenue, Upper 45th Street, and the north half of Barbara Avenue. The sanitary has been install along Bacon and Upper 45th Street and is they are working their way down Barbara. The water is being installed behind them by the second crew. Paving on the remainder of phase 1 and half of phase 2 occurred this week. Removals of topsoil occurred on August Way in preparation of the sanitary crew moving operations when phase 2 is completed.
Next Week (09/02-09/06):
August Way's curb and topsoil removals will continue and the pavement is scheduled to be reclaimed on Wednesday. Utility crews will continue sanitary sewer installation down Barbara Avenue, with watermain installation following behind as a second operation. The sanitary crew should complete its work on Barbara Avenue by mid-week and shift its operation to August Way for the remainder of the week. The road crew will work on road subgrade work along 46th Street and Bacon avenue once the utility crews complete their work. See below for information on parking

Parking Notice
Crews are actively working in multiple areas of the project. Please review the following parking guidelines:
No Street Parking (Active Construction Areas):
Bacon Avenue (North of 46th St)
Upper 45th Street
August Way
Barbara Avenue (North half)
Residents may still park in their driveways; however, driveway access in/out may be limited between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Please plan accordingly.
Street Parking Allowed (Completed/New Asphalt Areas):
Bacon Avenue (South of 46th St)
47th Street
Barbara Avenue (South half)
Barbato Court
Open for Street Parking (No Work Scheduled Week of 9/2–9/6):
Audrey Avenue
46th Street (West of August Way)
